I've been sketching and revising her for a little while trying to figure out how I want to treat her hair. She is apart of a body of work I've been conceptualizing for a while now. I've been working on so many things at once its hard to find time to paint and money for more supplies but its coming along slowly yet surely.

SCAD Fashion Show 2010 is tonight at 8 p.m. in Savannah, you can also watch it live online at http://scad.tv . Twenty students’ work were selected for the 2010 SCAD Fashion Show. Here's an interview with 3 of the students about their work by District.

RIP Lena

I literally just heard of Lena Horne's passing today and I had to do a blog post about it. I won't go into a full history but I just wanted to post some old school photos of the Jazz great. Her grace, style, and beauty will be missed but her iconic legend will live on through her fans.

Animation Inspiration: Lotte Reiniger

Lotte Reiniger is amazing! She is one of the reasons I fell in love with animation. I was so enamored The first time I saw The Adventures of Prince Achmed. Her paper silhouettes are extraordinary and beautiful, I absolutely love how delicate and detailed they are and her drawings are just as incredible as her puppets. Here are some shots of her work and a video of her later in life working in her studio...such an inspiration, I pray I'll still be creating in my golden years...Cheers to you Lotte!

It's a Pic-a-nic

Had a great day in the park with my BFF and her little girl, we had a great picnic with awesome weather and adorable puppies! I would've taken pics of our great lunch but we inhaled them to fast for that..lol
