H&M Fall 2011
These looks from H&M's fall lookbook have me craving cool breezes, golden ombre leaves, and deep plum lips.

Summer Styles via Essence.com
Eva Marcille and Tracee Ellis Ross look like super-chic Swiss Misses in this swept-off-the-face, cornrowed style.
Meagan Goode pins back one side of her short, flippy bob for a summer-sultry look. All she needs is a flower behind an ear! (Loooove her make up in this look btw...I'll be trying it very soon)
Chanel Iman’s bouncy curls give her a romantic appeal. (Its a little too neat for me but usually when I do this to my hair a mess it up a bit, I love bed head hair)
Zoe Saldana pulls her straight strands back into a loose bun, with face-framing tendrils escaping. So pretty.
Selita Ebanks’ French braided side-chignon is fresh, cool and effortlessly stylish.

I'm so in love with this last house, I love how it almost has modern temple/pagoda feel to it and the pool is gorgeous. #Swoon

Astrid
I saw the beautiful Astrid for the first time in the new Pirates movie and happily stumbled across these editorials she shot for Blast Magazine while doing concept art research on the Pirates of The Caribbean movie. I was so in love with the ethereal lighting and her poses that I had to post the photos to the blog. Enjoy!

In the making: "Frappucino Fantasy"
got this awesomely large moleskin sketch book for fashion illustrations, painting, and drawing...I'm totally in love with it!
just thought I'd do a quickie post of what I started out working on this week which is a contest entry for a Starbucks cup design contest. The objective; design your happiness on a cup for me that included: shoes, fashion, Starbucks cheesecake lollipops, coffee (of course), dancing, reading, the wind, design, and bright colors. Stay tuned for updates on the finished look and I'll let u guys know how I do in the contest!! :D

Monday Inspiration: "For The Home"
When it comes to interior design I usually find myself drawn to a mix of masculine and feminine design aesthetics. I love the mix of dark woods, charcoal grey tones, and natural sculptural pieces like drift wood or antlers mixed with reflective surfaces, textural throws, metallic wallpaper, modern chandeliers, and floral arrangements.
My ideal color scheme: monochromatic neutrals, mixed with graphic patterns, textural fabrics, fur, and shots of color
I had to choose this image for the abstract painting, I loved all the watery blue hues and I plan on doing a series of these for my home.
This wallpaper and crawford ceiling is EVERYTHING to me and I love the balance that symmetry creates but its also fun to go for asymmetry when designing.
So in love with these dark floors, chandelier, modern screen and that huge pane of glass that lets in tons of light. Its my dream to have a house with large windows, I'm such a huge fan of natural light.

Early Morning Sketching
I'm finally getting back into the hang of sketching more often which is a good thing because I thought I had lost my mojo for a second. Needless to say I found myself pursuing two of my favorite fashion blogs Fashion Gone Rogue and Song of Style for inspiration and here is the result!
L to R Emma Sketch (reference can be seen here) and Aimee + Charcoal Sketch (view Song of Style blog here)
ps Aimee's dog Charcoal was my favorite thing to draw all night..lol he makes the best faces and has tons of personality, no dis to Aimee but I think she'll agree that the little furry guy is too adorable not to love..lol
Happy Wednesday Peeps!
